Expertise: CNC Machining
In addition to offering the world's largest selection of off-the-shelf aluminum enclosure products and accessories for embedded PC/104 and EBX single board computer systems, Parvus has on-site metal fabrication facilities that leverage CAD files to rapidly and affordably produce custom mechanical parts to meet unique system requirements.
From extrusions to mounting plates, card cages and connector-specific NEMA-rated endcaps, Parvus leverages its in-house machining capabilities to provide close tolerance CNC machi

ning, milling, and plating conforming to exact customer project specifications. Custom finishes and colors can also be accomodated.
Utilizing computer-aided machining software together with imported CAD files (.IGES, .DWG, .DXF), Parvus employs its "Virtual Machining" process to accurately and quickly produce both prototype and production items. Overall cost is reduced due to unparalleled automation and computer-aided manufacturing.
A mechanical part can first be designed using CAD software (i.e. IRONCAD) by either the customer or Parvus prior to machining - to lower the amount of errors and reduce the overall completion time for prototypes. The resulting CAD files can then be used for immediate production or to go through iterations of mechancial prototypes. Some examples of custom designs are shown here.
For semi-custom orders, customers can minimize cost by (1) Downloading sample .DXF files of standard off-the-shelf Parvus products, (2) Making the necessary custom modifications to the CAD file themselves (such as adding application-specific connector holes), and then (3) Sending the revised design back to Parvus via email.
