System Design Process
Parvus Corporation offers years of expertise in designing, developing, supplying and supporting custom embedded designs at the board or system level. Custom development and systems integration services often leverage Parvus' existing product lines and capabilities to develop products tailored to specific customer needs.
Parvus utilizes a three-phase development-to-production approach to reduce risk, minimize cost and provide certainty that systems meet customer expectations. Our experienced sales and engineering staff intimately know this process and will guide you through it from design to pre-production to production. Systems development typically takes from 8 to 12 weeks at each stage. Customer sign-offs and approvals are completed at each phase to ensure continual quality inspection.
Three Phase Development Approach
Phase I: Prototype Development
# of Units: 1-2 units
Lead Time: 3-6 weeks, depending on complexity
Deliverables: Solid model rendering of initial concept, physical prototype(s), mechanical drawings, electrical design schematic and PCB layout, bill of materials, test procedure, and acceptance test plan
Outcome: Customer evaluates prototype and provides feedback for design changes for Phase II.
Phase II: Pre-Production
# of Units: 5-10 units
Lead Time: 8-12 weeks, depending on complexity
Outcome: Parvus incorporates design modifications and optimizes product for manufacturability; finalizes documentation and performs qualification testing
Phase III: Production
# of Units: 10+ units
Lead Time: 6-12 weeks, depending on complexity
Outcome: Quality manufacturing of volume units per delivery schedule
Our goal is to partner with our customers to provide long-term product life-cycle engineering and production support.
