The DuraNET® 3825 is a ruggedized version of the Cisco 3825 Integrated Services Router, combining the powerful features available in Cisco IOS® software, Catalyst® Layer 2 LAN switching, and flexible Layer 3 WAN routing into a single ruggedized platform. An ideal Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) solution for Internet Protocol (IP)-based networking applications, the unit integrates embedded security processing, generous performance, high memory capacity, and high-density interfaces to deliver the performance, availability, and reliability required for scaling mission-critical applications.

Designed to meet MIL-S-901D Grade B shock levels and MIL-STD-461 radiated emissions requirements, the DuraNET 3825 incorporates mechanical packaging enhancements to suite shipboard / military installations. It features up to two (2) Gigabit Ethernet WAN uplinks, a (1) Gigabit Ethernet Switch port, sixteen (16) 10/100 Ethernet ports, and eight (8) Asynchronous / Synchronous RS-232 serial ports, as well as console and auxiliary serial ports in a 19” rack-mount chassis with circular MIL-C-38999 connectors. Network features include port autosensing, QoS and VLAN capabilities compliant with 802.1p and 802.1Q standards, and 802.1D Spanning Tree protocols. For ease of management and configuration, the router features the intuitive, Web-based Cisco Router and Security Device Manager (SDM) with support for Secure Shell Protocol Version 2 (SSHv2) and Simple Network Management Protocol Version 3 (SNMPv3) protocols to encrypt the management session. Select models also integrate a Cisco VPN Hardware Encryption Acceleration module and upgraded system and Flash memory configurations.
