PRODUCT INFORMATION
The COM-1274 is a highly integrated PC/104 module specifically developed for advanced communication tasks in embedded systems. It features eight independent high speed 16C550 asynchronous serial ports and two Control Area Network (CAN) bus ports (Intel 82527).
For flexibility and high-speed transmission, the board's serial ports operate at up to 115 Kbaud and are software configured in pairs as either RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 ports. Shares interrupts are supported, both XT and AT interrupts can be used.
The CAN interfaces support the "CAN extended frame" message format (CAN 2.0B protocol), commonly used in mobile and vehicle applications as well as machine control and remote I/O expansion. In order to meet the demands of high reliability in industrial environment, an optically isolated RS485 physical CAN interface is available.
